The Center is a community for contemporary art in the School of Architecture and Planning at MIT. Its mission is to “facilitate cooperative projects aimed at the creation of monumental scale environmental forms” and to support participating fellows in the development of “individual creative pursuits.”

This site features the mark “Center for Advanced Visual Studies” which remains in the center of the browser window at all times. While secondary pages contain pre-assigned content the homepage is a just-in-time assortment of bits randomly pulled from the Center’s database.
